Style without Compromise

Fiche technique

In doing a complete renovation of their home near Tel Aviv, this Israeli couple had a clear vision of what they wanted, a stunning minimalist interior with zero clutter. The interior designer they employed created a contemporary design with extensive use of straight lines combined with lightly coloured decor to provide a striking, light and airy, open plan environment. The result was a home to be proud of and a wonderful place to entertain family and friends.

With the design done the question remaining was how to incorporate audio and video throughout the home without compromising appearance? The answer was to use Amina Invisible Loudspeakers, which are installed into walls or ceilings, then plastered over before decorating as normal. The perfect solution! The main living room mixes contemporary sculpture, modern and period furniture, with clean lines and a very discrete surround sound home theatre. Amina Invisible Loudpeakers used for the front left, centre and right speakers are positioned in the ceiling in front of the stylish false wall containing the plasma TV. The rear speakers are installed in the walls on either side adjacent to the artwork. This property benefits from Amina Invisible Loudspeakers throughout with a dual channel unit in the kitchen and a stereo pair in the master bedroom.

The speakers generate sound by creating tiny vibrations on their surface which in turn vibrates air molecules within the room. This creates a very dispersive sound source which propagates hemispherically from the wall or ceiling, filling the room with high clarity sound throughout.

The installer commented: “It’s a great example of how Amina Invisible Loudspeakers can be installed in the ceiling for the front channels of a home cinema which would not work effectively using conventional speakers”.

The non-directional nature of the Amina product, and the additive reflections from the front wall, means the listener perceives the sound is coming from the screen. Unless told otherwise, visitors enjoying the surround sound experience would be completely unaware of the ceiling location of the speakers.

The result: A delighted customer with a stylish home, bringing together an eye catching modern design, with high quality audio throughout.
